Topic	Synthesis and biological characterization of analogues of IGF-I, IGF-II and insulin with the goal to develop functionally selective analogues of the hormones

Abstract	The analogues of human IGF-I, IGF-II and insulin will be prepared. The analogues will be tested for the binding to specific receptors for insulin and IGF and for the ability to activate specific intracellular signaling pathways. We will try to identify the structural determinants responsible for metabolic or mitogenic effects of the hormones and to develop functionally selective analogues of the hormones.
