Autoři v publikaci předkládají veřejnosti poznatky a informace o stavu a trendech proměn vnímání práce a pracovních hodnot u pracujících v České republice. Tyto poznatky ve formě „tvrdých“ i „měkkých“ dat jsou nejen v historickém kontextu let 1989–2014, ale také obsahují výsledky posledního empirického výzkumu kvality pracovního života v ČR z roku 2014.
Studie podává obraz toho, jak se proměňovala Poslanecká sněmovna Parlamentu ČR během dvou dekád existence ČR. Údaje, které byly k dispozici, umožňují autorce identifikovat vzorce formování a proměny parlamentních elit a utváření rekrutačních vzorců. Autorka se snaží ověřit hypotézu o proměně poslanců, o proměně amatérských politiků v profesionální politiky a experty.
The chapter provides an overview of the Vienna Memorandum Group and its activities. WMG is an example of multilateral cooperation between branch trade unions, from both the new (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary) and the old (Austria, Germany – Bavaria) EU member states in the metal field.
The chapter addresses the function of Czech trade unions in EU governance and their adaptation to multilevel system of interest representation. First, it briefly reviews the developments in trade unionism during the last twenty-plus years and gives a brief assessment of the role of trade unions in national politics.
