Contemporary Analytic Philosophy

The aim of this research project is to contribute to topical discussions concerning the chief disciplines of contemporary analytic philosophy : in the philosophy of language, research is focused on the theory of reference, meaning and speech acts; in the philosophy of mind on the psychophysical problem; in the philosophy of science on an analysis of contemporary changes in the concept of scientific rationality and in ontological, conceptual and methodological bases of science. The intedisciplinary aspirations of the project are implemented especially by organising annual interdisciplinary seminars devoted to concepts and methodological principles interrelated with many disciplines, such as intuition, model, paradox, chaos, function, vagueness, interpretation, and others. A result of the project are published studies, seminar proceedings issued annually and international collections of articles focused on the chief issues of analytic philosophy, with participation of W. V. O. Quin, D. Davidson and other key representatives of this disicpline.
