Education:

  • Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, Prague, specialization: meteorology and climatology,  finished in 2002 with Mgr., diploma thesis: „Heat island of Prague: the intensity and long-term changes under different synoptic condition”
  • PhD thesis: „Long term variability of the relationships between atmospheric circulation and surface climate elements“, defended at the Department of Meteorology and Environment Protection, part of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University (KMOP MFF UK) in Prague in 2008

Employment and academic experience:

  • Since 2004 - Institute of Atmospheric Physics, the Czech Academy of Science, Prague, Czech Republic
  • 2009 – 2010 and 2012 – 13 maternity leave – 2 children

Professional interests:

Climate variability and change, validation of climate models,  statistical methods, analysis of time series and climate extremes, atmospheric circulation and its links to surface climate
