Two IPHYS scientists were gained Otto Wichterle Prize 2016 (6.6. 2016)

Significant award of CAS, Otto Wichterle prize 2016, granted the President of the Czech Academy of Sciences prof. Jiří Drahoš twenty-one young scientists who have successfully fulfilled an extremely important scientific task on Monday, May 30, 2016 in Villa Lanna. The award is determined by a top holders of academic degrees, who in the calendar year of the draft did not exceed the age of 35 years. Among the winners were two scientists from the Institute of Physiology:: Mgr. Michal Behuliak, Ph.D. and RNDr. Katarína Smolková, Ph.D.


 

Aleš Stuchlík was appointed a Professor (27.5. 2016)

Assoc. Prof. RNDr. Aleš Stuchlík, PhD was appointed a Full Professor in Animal Physiology. Czech president signed a letter of appointment on May 17, 2016. The appointment procedure took a place at Charles University, Prague.

František Vyskočil was awarded Medal of The Learned Society of the Czech Republic (26.5. 2016)

Prof. František Vyskočil was awarded Medal of The Learned Society of the Czech Republic for merit in the development of science. The Learned Society of the Czech Republic was found in 1994. Its aim is to bring together scientists who work in the Czech Republic and abroad. Medals award annually.

 

IPHYS stand at the Science Fair (23.5. 2016)

Institute of Physiology CAS participated in the Science Fair in PVA Leňany. The visitors was interested in IPHYS stand and all the event. There were about 14 thousand visitors during three days.


    
  

Lucie Kubínová was awarded Prize of Czechoslovak Microscopy Society (11.5. 2016)

RNDr. Lucie Kubínová, CSc. was awarded Prize of Czechoslovak Microscopy Society for significant contributions to the development of microscopic methods.
