Apart from Czech, which is used for communicating in the household by almost everybody, German, English and Slovak are most frequently used as a common language. The greatest Czech personality was Thomas Garrigue Masaryk, who was spontaneously named by more than a third of respondents, followed by Charles IV, Jan Ámos Komenský, Václav Havel and Jan Hus.
