Autor se věnoval v letech 2007 a 2008 téměř každodennímu sledování života střevle potoční (Phoxinus phoxinus) v Janském potoce (horní tok řeky Klejnárky). Sledoval životní podmínky v biotopu střevlí, průběh jejich rozmnožování a růst mláďat.

In 2007–08, the author studied on a daily basis the bionomics of the Common Minnow (Phoxinus phoxinus) in the Janský potok Brook (the Klejnárka River upstream, central Bohemia). He addressed conditions on the fish localities, reproduction behaviour as well as offspring growth.
