Citation rules
The Přehled výzkumů magazine is subject to the normal citation rules applicable for archaeology, i.e. the way in which citations are generally used in the natural sciences. Citation of primary sources of information is given for reasons of clarity.
Archival sources in the text should be cited in a note below the line and included in the list of reference literature and sources.
Unpublished work materials (e.g. field documentation) cannot be cited; only if it is stored in an archive may it be cited as an archival source.

Citation of text:
… most probably during the IS-6 or IS-5 stages (Johnsen et al. 1997).
… settled from the Early Middle Ages (cf. Janák, Kouřil 1991, 193-217; Měřínský 2000, 55-64).
… as shown by the written sources (CDB V-4, 26).
… there was a great deal of osteological material at the site, as is evident from witness testimony: “there were lots of bones and dogs had dragged them around the common” (Vomáčka, spoken).
Caution: The titles of magazines should be broken down and with monographs we require the date of publication and the publisher. If these citation rules are not followed, the Editorial Board reserves the right to return the manuscript to the author to be reworked.
