“Přehled výzkumů” is a specialised reviewed magazine issued by the Institute of Archaeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Brno. The magazine’s website publishes studies by domestic and foreign researchers primarily on Central European but also global (Palaeolithic) topics, shorts articles, and reports on research carried out in Moravia and Silesia and news in the world of archaeology.
The primary emphasis is on current key issues in archaeological research and how these are resolved in the Central European and global context. The magazine also provides comprehensive summaries of individual field research projects during the last year, thus contributing towards international scientific discussion and providing up-to-date information that is not available elsewhere in summary form.
