Project: Implementation of the electromagnetic wave analyzer ELMAVAN for the RESONANCE satellite project, data analysis and interpretation

This collaborative research project with the Institute of Space Research in Moscow is aimed at physics of the Van Allen radiation belts and at analysis of wave measurements in magnetospheric plasmas. We plan to develop methods and models of space experiments for measurements of low-frequency electromagnetic radiation in connection with our participation on the Resonance and Strannik spacecraft project. These experiments are aimed at investigation of sources and propagation of different modes in the inner magnetosphere, such as magnetosonic equatorial noise waves, whistler mode hiss and whistler-mode chorus waves, including their non-linear aspects in the latter case.
