IWAN 2016 - 12. Interregional Workshop on Advanced Nanomaterials

We are pleased to announce 12th Interregional Workshop on Advanced Nanomaterials, which will be held in Prague in November 15 - 16, 2016. This year the workshop is organized by the Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Science and Institute of Physics, The Czech Academy of Sciences. IWAN is an informal meeting of scientists mainly from institutions located in Poland, Germany and Czech Republic working in the field of advanced nanomaterials. NanoNet International Workshop 2016

NanoNet International Workshop 2016 is organized in Prague, 30.8. – 2.9.2016, co-organized by the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) and the Institute of Physics, Czech Academy of Sciences. We expect about 60 participants, bringing together students and scientists in particular from the NanoNet consortium in the region Dresden and the Prague research area. ELI Beamlines Scientific Challenges 2015

The ELI Beamlines Scientific Challenges 2015 meeting will be held in the new building of ELI Beamlines and in the nearby very scenic baroque Štiřín Castle. We will combine the conference with a prospective user meeting to introduce the experimental capabilities of the facility and to get feedback on user needs concerning experimental capabilities and organizational support.

Together with people from scientific communities, industry and representatives from politics we will be celebrating the Grand Opening of our new ELI Beamlines building.

The 27th Ad-Hoc Workshop on Jana2006: Electron diffraction

This workshop explains and demonstrates the method of electron diffraction tomography. Using practical examples, it explains the whole process starting from electron diffraction data collection and processing, followed by solution of the phase problem and finished by refinement of crystal structures using either kinematical or dynamical theory.

The 8th Conference on Aperiodic Crystals - Aperiodic 2015 - is organized under the auspices of the Commission on Aperiodic Crystals of the International Union of Crystallography, and will be held in the Brevnov monastery, Prague, Czech Republic from August 30 to September 4, 2015. The will be the eight of a series of events held triennially since the first Aperiodic in Les Diablerets in 1994. The aim of the conference is to bring together scientists dealing with all aspects of aperiodic crystals and related problems.
