Pavel Jungwirth - Jaroslav Heyrovsky Medal

Czech Academy of Science Chairman Jiří Drahoš presented Medals for Merit to four top Czech scientists on June 30, 2016. Among awardees was also our colleague Prof. Pavel Jungwirth, a new holder of the prestigeous Jaroslav Heyrovsky Medal.

Andrej Jančařík - Experientia Foundation grant

Awardees of the 4th annual granting of financial support to young researchers in their study abroad were announced on June 27th, 2016. Our colleague Andrej Jančařík is one of two supported young scientists (study stay at National Centre for Scientific Research, France, Dr. Gourdon Group, grant 1 170 000 CZK).

Štěpán TIMR in FORBES

Štipán Timr They are still under thirty years old and already excel at what they do: Štěpán Timr (26) is in the Forbes magazine ranking of "30 under 30". Gifted Ph.D. student was a part of the team that introduced a fluorescent microscope in 2011. He is currently member of Pavel Jungwirth' group. Congratulations !!!

Pavel Kielkowski - Werner von Siemens Prize Awardee

Pavel Kielkowski, former Ph.D. student from the Michal Hocek team at IOCB in 2009-2014, received the Werner von Siemens Award 2016 for the best Ph.D. thesis.

Pavel Hobza among 1% of the most cited chemists

Prof. Pavel Hobza, IOCB Distinguished Chair, belongs among 1% of the most cited scientists in chemistry worldwide in 2015. Only four Czech scientists reached this prestigious rank in the last year (Thomson Reuters)

Cutting edge chemistry in 2015

Journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry Chemistry World ranked article of our colleagues Philip Mason, Frank Uhlig, Václav Vaněk and Pavel Jungwirth, explaining and describing turbulent reaction of alkali metals with water and published in Nature Chemistry, among Cutting edge chemistry in 2015.
