The MicroCal VP-ITC (General Electric Healthcare) is an ultrasensitive isothermal titration calorimeter designed for ease-of-use. All functions are operated through software to minimize operator involvement and facilitate fast and accurate analyses without the need for expertise in thermodynamics. ITC allows the study of interactions between molecules by measuring the heat released or absorbed by interacting molecules, which is proportional to the amount of binding occurring. From these measurements thermodynamic characteristics, binding constants, and reaction stoichiometry can be determined.

The MicroCal VP-ITC (General Electric Healthcare) is the most sensitive, easy to use differential scanning calorimeter to study samples in solution. The VP-DSC micro-calorimeter uses heat to measure the progress of a chemical/physical process occurring over a range of temperatures. By recording heat changes as a function of temperature, information on thermally induced structural transitions and relative stability of macromolecules can be obtained.
