The home X-ray diffraction station for protein crystallography was made operational in 1998. The station, as the single Czech facility of this type,
is freely accessible also to other local research groups. The facility is frequently used for educational purposes such as demonstrations or practical courses.
Equipment details:
- X-ray source, rotating anode Nonius FR591, [Bruker-Nonius]
- X-ray detector, image plate Mar345, [Marresearch]
- Double mirrors X-ray optical system, [Bruker-Nonius]
- Nitrogen Gas Low Temperature Cryostat, [Oxford Cryosystems]
