Topic Construction of modified DNA for regulation and switching of cleavage by endonucleases
Faculty FCHT / FPBT VŠCHT, PřF UK
Abstract

New DNA modified in major groove will be prepared and their new biorothogonal reactions will be developed in order to ragulate and switch enzymatic cleavage by endonucleases. The principle will be then further developed for application in gene therapy and gene surgery (repair). Part of the work will be done in collaborating group of Prof. Thomas Carell at LMU Munich. This project is supported by ITN project ClickGene from EU. The rules only allow hiring of students from outside of the Czech Republic (who have not beeing living here for more than 12 months in the last 5 years).
