DECEMBERBader Prize 2011 - Petr Cígler awardedOur colleague Dr. Petr Cígler awarded Alfred Bader prize for year 2011. Alfred Bader prizes for young Czech scientists are awarded annually to recognize outstanding contributions to organic and bioorganic chemistry. The awards were founded and are financially supported by Alfred and Isabel Bader. |
NOVEMBERDr. Kvido Stříšovský awarded EMBO Installation GrantIn 5th December EMBO announced the selection of seven scientists as recipients of the 2011 EMBO Installation Grant. The grants will assist the scientists to relocate and set up laboratories in the Czech Republic, Poland, Estonia and Turkey. The supported scientists receive 50,000 euros annually for three to five years from their host countries. This helps them to establish their groups and themselves in the European scientific community. One of the awarded young scientists is Dr. Dr. Kvido Stříšovský from our Institute. His project is focused to intermebrane proteases and enzyme activity in molecular membranes. |
NOVEMBERČeská hlava 2011 - The Gaudeamus PrizeLaureate of the Gaudeamus Prize, given annually by Ceská hlava foundation, for 2011 is Lukáš Rambousek from ICT Prague. He received the Prize for M.Sc. diploma thesis based on topic "Preclinical development of new synthetic anionic medicinal steroids". These compounds were synthetized in IOCB AS CR in laboratory of Dr. Hana Chodounská. |
NOVEMBERCzech Senate Medal for Prof. A. HolýProf. Antonín Holý was awarded by Silver medal of the Czech Senate on November 4th, 2011. |
SEPTEMBERPetr Jansa won Sanofi-Aventis contestPetr Jansa successfully represented IOCB in Sanofi-Aventis contest and won prize in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. The prize he recieved from hands of Nobel laureate Prof. J.-M. Lehn in September 6th at french Embassy in Prague.

Kateřina Polívková - special prize of Ministry of Education in the competition FameLabSpecial prize, awarded by the The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic in frame of the Czech finale of FameLab competition, won this year Kateřina Polívková from Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry and Institute of Chemical Technology. |
