New methodology for the synthesis of tetrahydrofuran derivatives will be developed in this project. Some of the compounds display very interesting activity against hepatitis C. Moreover members of these compound classes can be envisaged as interesting building blocks for the synthesis of foldamers or non-natural peptide architectures.
