Prášivka polní (Bovista graveolens) patří k nečetným druhům hub, které se vyskytují nejčastěji v polních kulturách jednoletých nebo ozimých bylin a jinde se s nimi setkáme zřídka. V posledních desetiletích z polí mizí, snad následkem používání průmyslových hnojiv a pesticidů.

Bovista graveolens belongs to a rare fungus species which can be found mainly in field plantations of annual or winter herbaceous plants, but in other localities it is very rare. During the last few years it has been disappearing from fields, probably as a consequence of the use of artificial fertilizers and pesticides.
