This Ph.D. position funded by the European Union through the European training network FLUOR21 (Synthesis, structure and function of fluorinated systems) is restricted to candidates outside the Czech Republic.

The ability of the fluorine atom to enhance biological and therapeutic activity has led to widespread interest in the selective introduction of fluorine atoms of fluorinated groups into organic molecules. The aim of the project is preparation and application of novel reagents for the transfer of tetrafluoroethyl and tetrafluoroethylene groups into organic molecules.
