Education
1991-1997 Ph.D. student in the Group of Viral Proteins at the Department of Biochemistry, Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry. Supervisors: Dr. P.Štrop, Dr. I.Pichová. Thesis: Proteinases of BLV, HTLV and M-PMV: Production, Characterization and Comparison.
1990-1991 Stay at the Department of Biochemistry, Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Prague.
1983-1988 Undergraduate student at Charles University, Prague, Department of Biochemistry. Master thesis: Diamantane metabolism in the microsomal monooxygenase system of the liver of the phenobarbital pretreated rats. Supervisor: Prof. P.Anzenbacher.

1997 Short-term FEBS fellowship, stay in the laboratory of Prof. Adrian K. Clarke at the Department of Plant Physiology, University of Umea, Sweden. Study of the Clp proteins in the chloroplasts of Arabidopsis.
