Publikace představuje formou portrétních fotografií a stručných medailonů nominované a laureátky Ceny Milady Paulové v letech 2009 - 2016, jejich profesní zaměření a výzkumná témata, jimž se věnují. Cena Milady Paulové byla ustavena Ministerstvem školství, mládeže a tělovýchovy ČR v roce 2009 a je každoročně udílena ve spolupráci s Národním kontaktním centrem – gender a věda Sociologického ústavu AV ČR. Je udělována vědkyním za jejich celoživotní přínos české vědě.

The article focuses on an analysis of the professions of Czech deputies in the interwar period and in the period after 1989. Based on the theoretical framework of representation we assume that voting decisions are influenced not only by party electoral programs, but also by the individual characteristics of candidates. Candidate professions may indicate whether they are considered to be sufficiently qualified and whether they are considered to represent the interests of voters.

Představuje výsledky vlastního empirického výzkumu veřejného a politického diskurzu o péči o seniory a biografického výzkumu neformálních pečujících v České republice.
This article deals with the factors influencing the degree of trust in political institutions at three levels of government in the Czech Republic (national, regional and local) in two dissimilar regions in the time of economic crisis in 2009, the year when citizens of the Czech Republic experienced the negative impacts of growing unemployment and a substantial decline in real GDP. Two competitive theories - the cultural and the performance explanantion - were used as a theoretical framework.
The article deals with life and job satisfaction of the Czech working-age population. First it highlights concepts of happiness and satisfaction within the emerging multidimensional approaches to individual and societal well-being. Then, it resumes the data sources of those measures, with specific attention to the Module on Subjective Well-being of the survey EU-SILC.
Česká republika se svou desetiprocentní mírou chudoby řadí na nejlepší místo v evropském žebříčku. Jak se ale chudoba měří? Bude si ČR v mezinárodním srovnání stát stejně dobře, podíváme-li se na chudobu jinou optikou?
S příchodem internetu se proměnila povaha sociálních vazeb a interakcí. Objevily se nové způsoby, jak utvářet sociální kontakty, prostory, kde je možné spolu komunikovat, ale i nástroje, prostřednictvím kterých tyto interakce mohou probíhat. Mezi nástroje, které přinášejí nové způsoby komunikace, patří i internetové sociální sítě. Autorka se zaměřila na nejpopulárnější z nich – na sociální síť Facebook.
Purpose
This paper aims to utilize a mixed-embeddedness approach to examine how state welfare policies, employment conditions and gender norms shape orientations to divisions of business and domestic labor among Czech copreneurs, i.e. romantic couples involved in businesses together.
