Research interest |
Computer simulations of biologically relevant systems with special focus on membranes and glycocalyx, using a multi-scale approach: from mean field methods to atomic resolution, using classical molecular dynamics. The most relevant topics I work on are:
-
Glycocalyx structure and functionality with special focus on their charged components.
-
Membrane structure and membrane dynamics.
-
Interaction of gold nanoparticles with membranes.
-
Study of dynamics of proteins in the crowded cytosol environment.
-
Study of GPCR dynamics in the plasma membrane.
-
Modeling of Fluorescence Correlation microscopy in membranes (FCS) using molecular dynamics.
-
Unraveling how composition of HDL nanoparticles (cholesterol carriers) modulates their structure.
-
Test of force field accuracy of biomolecules, especially lipids.
-
Development of tools to use for projects involving molecular dynamics simulations.
