Jan Palkoska, PhD.

Research interests:

My research activities are chiefly focused on early modern ontology, epistemology and natural philosophy, and their impact on contemporary philosophy and science. Although my main field are thinkers in the Rationalist tradition (Descartes, Spinoza, Leibniz), I have recently written on Berkeley or Hume as well. Besides, I am interested in selected problems in analytic metaphysics (causation, time), contemporary epistemology (scepticism) and philosophy of science (explanation, realism).
