- ekologie, reprodukce, histochemie a karyologie,
- studium polyploidního komplexu karase stříbřitého (Carassius auratus gibelio) a jeho dynamika na území České republiky,
- reprodukce ryb, histologie jejich gonád a integumentu,
- ochrana ohrožených druhů ryb.
