CERGE-EI

IDEA Think Tank is a project of of the Economics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences (EI). EI jointly with the Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education constitutes CERGE-EI. 

About the EI

The Economics Institute (EI) of the Czech Academy of Sciences was established in 1992 as a successor to two previous institutes that were dissolved at that time. It was created to further both high-quality research and training in scientific economics. The Czech Academy of Sciences itself traces its history to the Royal Czech Society of Sciences, which was established in the Czech Crown lands in 1784.
