Activities
Storage, record keeping and cutting of metallurgical and non-metallic materials (vertical and horizontal band saw, lever shears)
Machining of metallic and non-metallic materials using lathes (5 stands), milling machines (4 stands) and drilling machines (4 stands)
Sharpening of tools and grinding of machine parts using tool grinding machines, surface grinding machines and centre grinders
Manufacture of parts and small functional assemblies for vacuum, optical and chemical apparatuses
Consultations with scientific staff on technical problems and plans for their solution together with assistance in the preparation of shop and assembly drawings
Locksmith, tinsmith and plumber work, welding and maintenance in the Institute’s premises.
