Academic Award - Praemium Academiae

The point of the Academic Award as a rigorously selective instrument for the financial and moral support of scientific excellence at the Academy of Sciences of the CR is to assist outstanding scientific figures who are the bearers of research at the top international level and create for them such conditions in which they can better develop their potential in the benefit of the Academy of Sciences of the CR and all of Czech science.

Proposals for the granting of Academic Awards are submitted by the directors of the institutes of the CAS and the President of the Council for Sciences of the CAS to the President of the CAS by 31 March each year.
