Topic	Synthesis of novel nucleoside and non-nucleoside inhibitors of key enzymes of Mycobacterium tuberculosis

Abstract	The project will focus on development of inhibitors of several key enzymes of Mycobacterium tuberculosis involved in metabolism of nucleotides and amino acids. The project will be performed in close collaboration with the group of Prof. Willmanns (EMBL Hamburg - structural biology) and Dr. Iva Pichová (UOCHB - biochemistry). Potential inhibitors of selected key enzymes will be developed based on rational design (docking, crystallography) and/or high-throughput approach (library design, synthesis and screening).
