The purpose of the lecture is to present and defend an approach to indexical beliefs. I shall start with a brief recapitulation of the problem of indexical beliefs. Next, the account that offers an elegant theoretical description of the phenomenon will be presented. The account is inspired by David Kaplan's analysis of de re belief reports. Finally, I shall address several matters that, I think, may help us to better understand the scope and possible limits of the account. They include the issue of the accidental de re beliefs, the relation between indexical and de re attitudes and the commitment to the propositions of limited accessibility.
