Účastníci workshopu si sami vybírají témata, která jsou vyvěšena na webové stránce, a workshop se koná, jakmile se několik osob shodne na výběru témat. Témata devátého workshopu jsou následující: (INT1) Simple 3d structures ; (INT2) Simple 4d modulated structures ; (PWD) Refinement from powder data ; (CHF) Charge flipping; (TW) Twinning. FLUKA is a fully integrated particle physics Monte-Carlo simulation package. It has many applications in high energy experimental physics and engineering, shielding, detector and telescope design, cosmic ray studies, dosimetry, medical physics and radio-biology. More information, as well as related publications can be found on the FLUKA website. The course will help professionals working in the Monte Carlo radiation transport fields to understand the various functions and attributes of the code.

V souvislosti s oficiálním zahájením realizační fáze projektu HiLASE (www.hilase.cz) je pořádán 1. vědecký workshop na kterém bude představena koncepce a cíle projektu, dosavadní výsledky přípravné fáze, současný stav a strategie dalšího rozvoje VaV aktivit. V rámci workshopu proběhnou zejména diskuse o možnostech konkrétní spolupráce s potenciálními strategickými partnery, neformální oponentura a posouzení technické proveditelnosti navrhovaných řešení pro DPSSL (Diode Pumped Solid State Laser).

ELI-Beamlines Scientific Challenges

The second ELI-Beamlines Scientific Challenges is a part of the 2nd ISAC (International Scientific Advisory Committee) meeting in Prague October 5th and 6th this year. We would like to discuss the next steps of development of ELI-Beamlines, ELI-delivery efforts and the further sharpening and adjustments of the experimental and theoretical programs.

Of course the latest developments in other research and facility programs are of outmost interests to us and the community.

Frontiers of Quantum and Mesoscopic Thermodynamics
