The qualitative study is focused on the issue of equal access of women (and men) into managerial and decision-making positions in a social enterprise and conventional one in the Czech Republic. The results of the study reflect a lack of focus on gender equality, low sensitivity to gender based discrimination, recurrence of gender stereotypes and the lack of internal policies (formal procedures) to promote women in leadership positions in the surveyed firms.
Based on qualitative research of women that cared in the past or care now for their frail elderly mothers, this article aims to describe and explain some of the factors leading to the predominance of women in informal care for the elderly. The article builds on Sandra Harding’s and Joan W. Scott’s concept of gender. Their concept defines gender as a category operating at multiple interconnected levels.
Energy is not merely a technological field, it also influences and is influenced by the wider social context. From various perspectives energy impacts the lives of people and it shapes people, not just those who work in the field of energy, in various ways. This publication focuses specifically on how these processes operate from the perspective of gender equality.

This article explores the development of part-time employment in Central and Eastern Europe compared to Western Europe. The analysis of panel data reveals the role of part-time work determinants on the macro level and their different effects on part-time employment in the two groups of countries. The large set of determinants includes business cycle, labour market institutions and structural factors.
