He is associated professor at the Department of Philosophy and Religious Sciences, Faculty of Theology, University of South Bohemia. He lectures on philosophical anthropology, ethics and Medieval philosophy. His research focuses on philosophy and theology of Medieval and Modern Scholasticism, virtue ethics and personalism. At the Institute of Philosophy CAS he is a research worker. He currently works as a dean of the Faculty of Theology, University of South Bohemia.
