Český ráj - nejstarší chráněná krajinná oblast v Čechách - je známý labyrintem skalních věží a dolů. Na některých lokalitách se zbytky původní druhové skladby stromů (např. Americká sluj nebo Bučiny u Rakous) lze nalézt desítky druhů zajímavých makroskopických hub, včetně vzácných a ohrožených druhů (např. bolinka černohnědá - Camarops tubulina). Významné zastoupení mají houby xylofágní, vázané na tlející dřevo objemných a padlých kmenů buku, dubu, smrku i jiných stromů.

The Bohemian Paradise, the oldest Protected Landscape Area in Bohemia, is well-known for its labyrinth of rock towers and gorges. On some sites which still have remnants of forests with original composition of tree species, e.g. at the American Grotto or Bučiny near Rakousy, it is possible to find dozens of macroscopic fungi, including the rare and endangered ones, such as the pyrenomycete Camarops tubulina. Xylophagous fungi, growing on large, rotting fallen trunks of beech, oak, spruce and other trees, are present here in abundance.
