Respondents evaluated overall approach of the Czech government to social situation of families with children in the Czech Republic. According to the February survey of CVVM, 37% of people evaluate the current economic situation in the Czech Republic as good, 42% view it as neither good nor bad, and 19% consider it to be bad. 52% of Czechs evaluate the living standard of their household as good, 13% consider it to be bad, and 35% characterize it as neither good, nor bad.

A third (33%) of people believe that for the income of their household they can buy or pay less than a year ago, 53% believe that the real income of their households is about the same as a year before, and 11% of respondents said that their real income during the last year has increased.

In November, the Public Opinion Research Center of the Academy of Sciences interviewed citizens of the Czech Republic on topic of financial security in pension. Questions were focused not only on subjective concerns over lack of economic resources or trust in welfare state but also on actual preparations, namely investments and savings. The results suggest that the economic prosperity of the country in last few months reflected itself into optimism of the Czech population regarding to awaited retirement. Still, there is an alarmingly small number of people with bad living conditions who cannot save up for their future.

In November 2016 CVVM included in regular research questions on retirement system in The Czech Republic. Questions focused mainly on the current condition of retirement system and its possible changes. Next respondents expressed level of their support of concrete measures and actions. Last part was interested in ways of financing the pensions.
