Postdoc position - DAPIT
Department of bioenergetics, Institute of Physiology CAS is looking for highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with Ph.D. or equivalent degree to work on GA CR (Czech Science Foundation) funded project:
Characterisation of the role of DAPIT protein in the biogenesis of mammalian mitochondrial ATP synthase
Recently, we have developed rat knockout model for DAPIT subunit with not yet known function in this enzyme complex. This project will focus on characterisation of enzyme biogenesis and biochemical function in control versus knockout animals. Other branch will focus on whole body phenotyping of metabolic functions in knockout animals to establish organ specificity and develop our understanding how compromised mitochondrial energy provision can influence/dictate metabolic phenotypes.
Successful candidate will report to project’s PI and the head of department - Dr Tomas Mracek. You will get the opportunity to become a member of our young and dynamic team based in state of the art facilities within the biomedical campus of the Czech Academy of Sciences located at the outskirts of Prague. For details about the department, you can check our webpage: http://fgu.cas.cz/en/departments/bioenergetics
