Graphene, its modifications and inorganic analogues.

Layered materials are currently in the forefront of material research. The graphene based materials were prepared by “top-down” procedures and the mechanism of graphene synthesis was studied in detail. The possible methods of chemical modifications of graphene will be discussed in detail together with its applications in energy storage and conversion applications. Further will be discussed the “top-down” procedures for synthesis of transition metal dichalcogenides and its applications in electrocatalysis.
