Abstract:

Talk will give an overview of the ATLAS results of lifetime, mixing, and CP violation in the B0 and B0s systems. In the Standard Model CP violation is described by a phase in the CKM matrix. One of the manifestations of this complex phase is a shift between direct and mixing-mediated B0s decays producing a common final state. In the case of B0s -> J/PsiPhi this phase shift is predicted to be small Phis = -0.0368 +- 0.0018 rad. New physics can enhance Phis whilst satisfying all existing constraints. The measurement of the lifetime dependence of B0 -> J/ PsiKs and B0 -> J/Psi K*0 decays was then used to extract the most precise value of delta Gammad/Gammad.
