The Institute is the editor and publisher of the two international scientific journals, Engineering Mechanics and Acta Technica. In addition, the Institute publishes conference proceedings and books on various occasions.
Engineering Mechanics is a reviewed journal providing a scientific forum for presenting original contributions in mechanics. Letters to the editor, short technical notes, critical comments, survey articles, book reviews, articles devoted to history of mechanics, information about conferences and congresses are also published. The aim of the journal is to address the scientific and engineering community interested in theoretical, computational, and experimental mechanics by offering access to the latest and up-to-date results in solid and fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, dynamics and stability of discrete and continuous systems, computational mechanics, acoustics, experimental and diagnostic methods, fracture mechanics, engineering design, materials engineering, power-engineering, environmental engineering, biomechanics, etc.
Periodicity: Bi-monthly
The content is available online in the PDF format.
Acta Technica is a refereed international journal founded in 1956. It is devoted to presenting progress in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, thermodynamics, hydromechanics, materials science and engineering, mechanics of solids and structures, plasma physics, and others. Unlike a lot of other journals in the domain it also covers interdisciplinary, coupled and newly emerging problems (e.g. nanotechnology, bioelectromagnetics, etc.).
Periodicity: Quarterly
E-book
The group of authors from the Institute of Thermomechanics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, the Institute of Mathematics of the Charles University and the Department of Technical Mathematics Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Czech Technical University has released an electronic book entitled Numerical Methods in Computation Mechanics. The publication might be of interest to students, teachers and researchers who are compelled to solve nonstandard tasks in solid and/or fluid mechanics requiring large scale computation.
Proceedings of Euromech Colloquium #430
The volume contains the papers presented at the Euromech Colloquium on Formulations and Constitutive Laws for Very Large Strains held in Prague, Czech Republic. The meeting brought together researchers interested in the development of constitutive models, capable of describing material response under finite strains. A number of topics were addressed, ranging from theoretical issues in hyperelasticity, finite strain plasticity, localization, and computational procedures to the discussion of recent experimental findings. This proceedings is of interest to scientists in material engineering, applied mechanics and computational mechanics.

More information
The contributions are devoted to the studies of laminar, transitional, and turbulent shear flows in external and internal aero-hydrodynamics, environmental aerodynamics, biomechanics, and other natural and industrial applications. Also, new experimental and numerical methods and experimental devices for research in fluid dynamics are presented.
