The project aims to improve methods used for characterization of interphase interfaces, and further to deepen the knowledge about the interface properties links to the behavior of macroscopic systems. Specifically, it will be developed a methodology for determination of the phase interface properties, based on the evaluation of the shape oscillations of bubbles and drops; it will be constructed devices with small channel with wall-mounted elektrodiffusion sensors for diagnostics of  interface mobility of bubbles or droplets and for wall slip diagnostics in emulsions. Furtrher, we plan to obtain data on the effect of surfactants and electrolytes on the coalescence probability of bubbles and droplets; to obtain data on the probability of bubble distintergation in turbulent flows and to determine the effect of surfactants on this probability. Last but not least, we would like clarify relation between the behavior of foams and properties of phase interfaces, found in the previously mentioned steps.
