Luskové druhy jsou počtem rodů nevelká skupina vesměs z čeledi bobovitých (Fabaceae) patřících k nejstarším plodinám světa. Dnešními nejvýznamnějšími luskovými zeleninami jsou hrách a fazol, méně rozšířený je bob.

Leguminous species do not form too large a group as regards the number of genera, which are mostly from the family Fabaceae. They belong to the most ancient crops in the world. Pea (Pisum sativum) and bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) are the most important leguminous vegetables at present, followed by the less frequent broad/field bean (Faba vulgaris).
