Description of the project:
Within the project, various advanced and efficient combinations of the high-power laser beams available at the PALS facility, delivering a radiant energy at both long- and short-wavelengths on the target surface in short and ultra-short pulses under various geometries and with adjustable timing, will be designed, tested and utilized for conducting the leading edge experimental and theoretical research of dense plasmas, relevant to the inertial fusion, high-power photonics and astrophysics.
