Eduroam

General information

Eduroam is an international project promoting the mobility of users in academic networks. In all the organizations participating in this project, the users can connect to the internet using the same credentials. To connect, the user must have the eduroam account in his/her home institution and configured device supporting wi-fi.


Rules of Connection

The rules for using the eduroam network are defined in the roaming policy (in Czech).


Access points

Technical parameters of wireless network:

  • SSID: eduroam
  • Authentication: 802.1x (EAP)
  • Secutity: WPA2
  • Enctyption: AES
  • Internet: IPv4, NAT, proxy
  • Devices used: Cisco
  • Root certificate: DigiCert Assured ID Root CA

Access point locations:

  • buildings of the IOCB campus in Ptague-Dejvice
