Strnad rákosní (Emberiza schoeniclus) hnízdí v ČR v okolí rybníků s porosty rákosu a jiných trav. Studie vnitrosezónní a mezisezónní fidelity a filopatrie při hnízdění nasvědčuje časnému rozptýlení mladých samců a jejich poměrně nízké věrnosti rodišti. Intenzita zpěvu samců během hnízdní sezóny výrazně kolísala, rozdílný způsob zpěvu byl zaznamenán u spá-rovaných a nespárovaných samců.

In the Czech Republic, the Reed Bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus) breeds in reedbeds or other grass growths in the vicinity of fishponds. The study on intra- and inter-seasonal nest-site fidelity carried out by the authors suggests that young males disperse early from the nest-site and that there is the relatively weak nest-site fidelity among them. The singing intensity of males sharply fluctuated in the course of the breeding season and different way of singing was found in paired and unpaired males.
