How to export images in CrysTBox tools
Images and visualizations can be exported in any CrysTBox tool via the main menu. Although the name of the menu entry can slightly vary with respect to the nature of a particular tool, it typically looks like File / Export.
Export settings
Default parameters of the exported images can be changed in CrysTBox Server main menu Settings / Export image settings. This settings applies on all tools. This feature is available for CrysTBox Server 1.10 and later.
Following image parameters can be set:
- Image height/width - If one of them is empty, an appropriate size should be automatically calculated and used in order to keep aspect ratio. Unfortunately, the resulting image size does not need to exactly match the height and width stated in this dialog box. Although I have noticed only a negligible missmatch (if any) always check if the results fit your needs.
- Font size - If the image contains any text (diffraction spot idices for instance), its size can be changed here.
- Text colour - Text colour can be changed in order to maximize readability. Colours can be specified either by name ('red', 'violet', 'dark blue' etc.) or using an RGB vector of three numbers between 0 and one ('0 0 0' for black, '1 0 0' for red, '0.6 0.2 0.2' for brown etc).
- Line width - This number specifies width of lines, curves, plots, etc.
- Line colour - Defines colour of lines, curves, plots etc. For more details about how the colour can be specified, see Text colour above.
