Library of the Czech Academy of Sciences (LCAS) is a public research institution whose purpose is to conduct scientific research in the area of scientific information and library science, to establish a research-oriented information infrastructure, and to provide library-based, informational, and reprographic services to the institutes of Czech Academy of Sciences and other users active in research and science. New items – January 2018
New items overview for the January – it’s possible to view the whole list at once or have it sorted out by fields of knowledge.
A selection of ten interesting new arrivals is available for browsing in the study (without having to order them in advance) and it simultaneously possible to browse these publications in digitalised form on the computer reserved for work with the Digital library of the Czech Academy of Sciences. You can leaf through them there and possibly print out parts of them.
Electronic information resources – news in 2018
For this year, we’ve come up with several news in electronic information resources. Within the next few days, remote access will also be enabled for all sources.
EBSCO – More content available with a wider “Ultimate” version
JSTOR – 11 new collections available now
Emerald – ALL Emerald magazines available due to transtition to the “Premier” version
Cambridge Journals online – Access to the complete magazine production of Cambridge University Press
Oxford Journals Online – Access to the complete magazine production of Oxford University Press

CHRISTMAS 2017 – Information about opening hours
The library will be closed from 23 December to 1 January 2018.
For operational reasons, the library is also exceptionally closed on Thursday 21 December from 1 p.m. and on Fridy 22 December from 4 p.m.
