Topic	Tandem Organometallic Conjugate Addition/Cycloaddition Processes for Syntheses of Constrained Amino Acids and Their Applications in the Synthesis of Peptides and Natural Products

Abstract	In this project, conceptually new tandem processes consisting of asymmetric conjugate addition reactions and 1,3-dipolar cycloadditions will be developed. This methodology will allow a one-step access to functionalized saturated cyclic amino acid derivatives. Their potential toward the synthesis of modified peptides and the total synthesis of biologically active pyrrole-imidazole alkaloids, such as Massadine, will be explored.
