Medals of CAS

Czech Academy of Sciences awards the following medals:

a) Honorary Medal „De scientia et humanitate optime meritis“

c) The Jan Patočka Memorial Medal

d) The Vojtěch Náprstek Honorary Medal for Merit in Science Popularisation

e) Honorary Medal for Merit for Czech Academy of Sciences

 
Scientific Councils of Academy institutes and the Council for Sciences of CAS submit proposals for awarding the medal "De Scientia et Humanitate Optime Meritis", Medals of Science and The Jan Patočka Memorial Medal. The Coucil for Sciences of CAS, the Council for Science Popularisation of CAS and the Editorial Board of CAS propose recipients for the Vojtěch Náprstek Honorary Medal for merit in the popularisation of science.
 
Nominations for awarding medals are submitted in writing by 31 March of the calendar year or by 30 September of the calendar year.
