Martina Mysíková pracuje v oddělení Ekonomické sociologie v Sociologickém ústavu AV ČR od roku 2008. Absolvovala Institut ekonomických studií FSV UK v Praze, kde v roce 2012 obhajobou disertační práce „Tři komparativní eseje na téma genderové příjmové nerovnosti v České republice" úspěšně završila také své postgraduální studium. V období 2004–2008 se v Oddělení sociálních šetření Českého statistického úřadu věnovala metodologii a koordinaci mezinárodního statistického šetření v domácnostech EU-SILC.
