Archduke Ferdinand II of Austria and His Cultural Patronage between Prague and Innsbruck

The international conference "Archduke Ferdinand II of Austria and His Cultural Patronage between Prague and Innsbruck" will take place on 21–23 February 2018 at the Academic Conference Centre (Husova 4a, Prague 1). Papers to be presented deal with following aspects of Duke's patronage: “Kunstkammer”, Collections, Cultural Transfers / The Fine Arts and their Protagonists / Architecture / Humanism – Science, Literature and Music / The Dynasty and its Festivities. The conference is organised by the IAH CAS in cooperation with the National Gallery in Prague. It is connected with the exhibition "Ferdinand II, Archduke of Austria: A Renaissance Ruler and Art Patron Between Prague and Innsbruck" currently presented in the Waldstein Riding School in Prague.

Attending the conference is free of charge but registration is required at archduke.ferdinand@post.cz
