In February 2012, CVVM asked questions concerning the topic of indebtment. We surveyed the opinion on the level of indebtment among the Czech citizens and on the level of indebtment of the Czech state. With regard to these two fields of indebtment, we also asked questions about how serious a problem the current level of indebtment poses to the Czech people.

Two thirds (66%) of people believe that for the income of their household they can buy or pay less than a year ago, a three tenths (30%) believe that the real income of their households is about the same as a year before, and only 3% of respondents said that their real income during the last year has increased.

In November 2011 the Public Opinion Research Centre survey has focused extensively on social policy issues. One of the questions examined public opinion on state expenditures in various areas of social policy. People were also asked, how much they think the government cares about the social situation of citizens, and how much the social security system in the Czech Republic is abused by its beneficiaries.
